A lot of expereience for the “Bären”

Rolf Grob has been the new manager of the Hotel Bären Gonten since the beginning of March 2019.

The guests have known the experienced restaurateur since the beginning of the year as the chef of the house.

In this double role, he pleases the guests in front of and behind the scenery.

His kitchen unites the highest culinary with traditional, down-to-earth cuisine, Mediterranean and modern inspired. For him, It goes without saying, to exclusively cook with fresh products, if possible from the region. It tempts him to create exquisite dishes from simple goods.

Together with his twelve-member team, matched with gastronomic craft, he wants to make the "Bären Gonten" one of the most exciting, beautiful and sustainable gastronomic meeting places in Switzerland.

"My goal is to pamper our guests with delicious delicacies in the future as well. Whether guests come to "the Bären" for a romantic tête-à-tête, a business lunch, a seminar or a stop after the hike, everyone will find what they are looking for, "says Rolf Grob.
